We are pleased to announce that Ira SenGupta, Executive Director of the Cross Cultural Health Care Program, has been selected for the Disparities Solutions Center's executive leadership program. Ira is one of 34 individuals selected for the 2011-2012 Disparities Leadership Program, which seeks practical strategies to eliminate racial and ethnic disparities in health care.

The goal of the program is to create a team of health care leaders who have:

• In-depth knowledge of the causes of health care disparities and related research;
• Quality skills and improvement strategies to address disparities; and
• Leadership skills to implement solutions and transform organizations.
